Nothing beats a good routine to kick-start a good day.
It’s day 3 of the lock down and I am slowly getting into a routine that helps set the mood for the day. It’s going to be a while before we can roam outside, there are chances that we may exceed the stated 21 days.
However, it’s important to maintain a positive mindset by creating a routine that helps you relax through out the day.
Here are a few things that you can incorporate in your daily routine to ease the pressure of being at home 24/7 for the next 3 weeks.
Clean Your Space
A clean space personally helps me to relax and allows me to carry on with the rest o my day. Clutter may set you in the wrong mood. Make that bed, spruce up your space and if must, take a bath.
When you seat/kneel down for prayer, you are also giving yourself a few minutes to gather your thoughts. The same with meditation. Do this before the day begins because once you jump into your daily chores, you may never get the chance. A lot of us are moms, sisters and everything in between. Prayer & meditation will allow you to connect with who you are before the rest of the world demands your attention.
Work on Something
Don’t let these 21 days take away the progress that you have made so far this year. Keep pushing, keep brainstorming and developing your work from the comfort of your home. Schedule some time towards your goals because this is a lot of free time after all. After the lockdown, wouldn’t it be nice to have made some progress? Start Now!
Drink A Cup of Something
Give me lemon tea on any day and I am in. For you it maybe a cup of coffee, green tea or any beverage that you may fancy. Personally this just gives me a different kind of energy before I go ahead with the rest of the day.
Believe it or not, this is a good way to keep your body in shape, physically and mentally. Take a jog around your home, or join an online class. After a good exercise session, you will have different but good energy
Eat a good meal
“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dinned well.”
It’s no lie that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I don’t know how I can explain this, but it just works.
I hope you find this post useful & you get to apply this in your day to day lives.
You do not have to do this everyday, some days you just want to seat back and do nothing, that’s still OK.
