Fashion is an art. And we can never dispute the power of art in every community. Music is art, dance is an art, writting is art; all of these concepts are intertwined. Its a chain; if we are to fully utilize these aspects of life, the world will certainly be a better place.
Malaria is a deadly disease that has affected many African countries. According to a research done by USAID, Malaria incidence in Zimbabwe appears to be decreasing nationally, while remaining a major challenge in certain districts. According to an external program review done in 2011, malaria incidence decreased from 1.8 million cases in 2006 to about 600,000 in 2010.
What is JCI?
Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a non-profit international non-governmental organization of young people between 18 and 40 years old. It has members in about 124 countries. JCI Zimbabwe is a network of young active citizens who create positive sustainable change in our communities.
JCI Harare will entirely dedicate the first week of June to gathering as many people as possible from all sectors of our society to take action and fight back against major problems impacting our community, including the malaria pandemic.
Hwedza is amongst one of the areas still affected by this pandemic hence the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Harare is aiming at raising funds to help aid those in need. The district has remained a high prone malaria district and no intervention has been done there hence the help is strongly required.
