Hey Lovelies. It feels good to be back again with yet another post.  I have to say I am enjoying the consistence I have managed to  maintain this past week. Today’s look is quite an exciting one because of the gladiator sandals. But before we talk about the ensemble, I thought I would share an awesome quote I got from the Perch.

Some of you guys maybe familiar with The Perch. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it is a weekly motivational message that is sent to us  by my boyfriend’s social football  coach, the professor. You can  read more about this here. Anyway the quote below was part of this weeks message. I am all about choosing happiness so I thought it would be nice to share this with you. Hope you will find it useful.

“…Over the years I have become convinced that our lives revolve around two worlds: happiness and sadness and their derivatives. These derivatives could be any of the following: love and hate, like and dislike, pain and joy…This is because human beings are able to separate issues and emotions (at least most of the time!). What is possible is to have more of one emotion than the other and in the case above hopefully it will be more of love than hate.

The second point is that as human beings we’re able to choose what emotions we want to go through… So this means that in any situation we are able to make a choice which emotion we would like to be associated with and the level of intensity. This leads me to my third point. Research (please don’t ask me for the source) has shown that a normal human being spends roughly 95% of their life sad, in pain and disappointment.

So let’s break it down a bit. In a day with 24 hours we spend 21 of those hours sad, in pain or dealing with one disappointment or another. This includes of course the time that we’re sleeping!… What this says to me is that we should treasure the 5% of our lives when we are happy, joyful and positive because it is that 5% that makes life worth living. It is the 5% that causes us to wake up everyday. It is the 5% that helps us to dream and hope that tomorrow is going to be better than today and yesterday…” – The Perch

The Outfit

Can we please observe a moment of silence for these awesome gladiator sandals? I mean how gorgeous? I fell in love with them the first time I saw them at Sole4Soul. The boots on the other hand are just so cute.

I wore a black sleeveless top paired together with a denim skirt. I have styled this skirt differently before, you can check this post. to finish off the look, I opted for a black bag.

Thank you for stopping by.

Love and Light!
