I hope I find you well on this beautiful Monday morning.
As you can tell from the blog title, today I am here to talk to you about my experience at the Trendy Designers Fashion Gala. I haven’t attended any shows or fashion events in over a year so this was really an exciting experience.
About The Gala
The International Creative Arts and Craft Network (ICAC) which is under the Testimonies Media Group (TMG) collaborated with the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) to host the trendy designs fashion gala at the Meikles hotel in Harare last Saturday.
Without a doubt, this was a well organized event. Though not always the case, It’s good when event organizers remain conscious about time keeping. The entertainment was on point. The different musicians that also grazed the event managed to keep the crowd entertained.
I arrived at the event around 4pm to catch some of the designs that were being exhibited. About 2 hours later, the runway show started.
The idea behind this show was to show case work by local amazing creatives. It was all about exploring different and trendy fashion within this country. The majority of the products were locally made, which for me is always a plus.
On show was also fashionable items carried by different local boutiques.
Later on in the day, a number of designers took to the runway showcasing their designs. Designers such as Tapfumanei Munenge and Colin Ratisai left a whole lot of us shook by their level of creativity. You can check out my YouTube Channel to see more on this.
Firstly, I knew there was going to be a lot of walking around so a block heel for comfort was perfect. I paired the sleeveless blazer with culottes and a a simple white top. As usual, a pope of color was highly necessary so I added some red lipstick.
Until Next Time…
I Love You For Stopping By.
